Is Your New Year’s Resolution to Travel More?

So many of us are excited to get on with 2018. Whether 2017 was one of your better or worse years, the optimism for a new year is undeniable. And with a new year come promises for personal change.

Are you making a New Year’s resolution to travel more? Here are some ways you can achieve it!

1. Block out time NOW. Look at your schedule as far in advance as you can. Some trips can be booked more than a year in advance. Choose some potential travel dates NOW, before life fills in every spare minute with obligations. Make the promise to yourself that those dates are reserved for travel. Even if it’s just one week, or a couple of long weekend trips- it starts with the commitment. (You can even pencil in your dates to begin with.)

2. Where have you always wanted to go? Do you have a running list in your head of all the places you’ve wanted to go? Write it down. Studies have shown that when you write things down, you are more likely to see them to fruition. So go ahead, write them ALL down. Even the really far away places. Even the really extended trips. All of it.

3. Begin basic preparations. Even if you don’t have a single plane ticket yet, there are a few things you can do right away to begin preparing to travel. Check to see if you need to renew your passport- or even apply for one for the first time. Check your luggage for cracks, tears and broken wheels. Replacing it now will give you plenty of time to search for your perfect luggage at a great price. And look for a pet sitter that you trust.

4. Contact a travel agent. Like me! I specialize in all Disney destinations, and I do all of the research for you! Planning a trip can be overwhelming and stressful- but it doesn’t have to be. Sit back and let me worry about the details for you.

Not sure a Disney destination is right for you? Not so fast.

When was the last time you visited Walt Disney World in Florida, or Disneyland in California? These iconic theme parks are way more than just for kids. With white-knuckled thrill rides, gourmet eats, and unforgettable immersive experiences, there truly is something for everyone. Don’t forget about the new Pandora- The World of Avatar that opened this past May at Animal Kingdom. It is home to Avatar: Flight of Passage, the most technically-advanced ride Disney has created yet, and currently Orlando’s #1 ride.

Coming in Summer of 2018: Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. And the Force will be strong when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland in 2019.

Perhaps you would prefer to visit San Francisco, Washington, D.C., Nashville or New York City? How about a European river cruise? Even Iceland? Adventures by Disney can take you to 6 different continents, and on endless adventures. With both Disney Adventure Guides and local experts, you will experience authentic local traditions and cuisines, enjoy VIP access to some of the world’s most incredible sites, and you can rely on Disney’s superior service and attention to detail throughout your entire trip. Click here to see why Adventures by Disney is consistently rated Disney’s top travel product (even more so than Walt Disney World)!

Ok. Dates picked? Check. Passport renewed? Check. Now what? Contact me to begin planning, or schedule a Personal Vacation Profile Session. I can help you decide on the perfect trip for you, plus make the reservations, send you personalized tips, and lots more. I will make it quick and easy for you to start checking off that list of destinations. So don’t wait! 2018 is just around the corner!
