So, you want to know when the “BEST” time is to visit Walt Disney World?
Here are some factors that you should consider when choosing your travel dates.
1. Whenever you are able to take the time off. This might seem obvious, but it may be the biggest obstacle to overcome when selecting travel dates. Consider the work and school schedules of everyone traveling with you. Also be sure to take into consideration any restrictions on taking time off at work, or any other commitments you might have (such as tournaments for extracurricular activities, or guests coming in from out of town.)
2. During a seasonal event that you would like to experience. My #1 choice would be September through mid-November. That’s when Epcot hosts its International Food and Wine Festival. Plus, the Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party through the end of October, which is a blast. Other fun events to consider: Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts, Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival, holidays at Walt Disney World, and runDisney events are all fun things you might want to work into your plans.
3. A special occasion you would like to celebrate. Going to Walt Disney World is just about the most magical thing you can do- and it can be even more magical when you are also celebrating a birthday, anniversary, graduation or other important occasion. No one celebrates the way Disney does, and there are LOTS of little touches that can be added to your vacation plans to make your special occasion unforgettable.
4. All things being equal: January, February, September, and November have lower crowds- in general.
